Born 1268 - Died 1314

He is the man who, with orders from or at least with the permission of, Pope Clement V, had the members of the Knights Templar arrested on Friday, 13 October 1307.  (See "The Temple and the Lodge" page 18)

The birth name of Pope Clement V was Bertrand de Goth.  He became Pope because King Philip IV of France managed to get him in as pope by killing Pope Boniface VIII and also most likely Pope Benedict XI.   (See "The Temple and the Lodge" page 51)

He was also known as Philippe de Bel. (See "The Temple and the Lodge" page 51)

During the 1290s he devalued the coinage until if was worth only 1/3 of its value 10 years earlier. In 1306 he returned the value of the money to that of before he devalued it which caused prices to triple overnight. (See "Cracking the Freemasons Code" by Cooper page 4)

King Philip IV of France had applied for membership in the Knights Templar and was turned down. (See "Cracking the Freemasons Code" by Cooper page 4)

He became King at age 17 and ruled with an iron fist. He was the 11th Capetian King. He was deeply in debt to just about everyone who would lend him money. Much of the debt he inherited from previous rulers from their long wars. (See "Cracking the Freemasons Code" by Cooper page 4)

He had Pope Boniface VIII kidnapped and killed.  He probably was involved in the death of Pope Benedict XI. (See "Cracking the Freemasons Code" by Cooper page 2)

He was educated by Giles de Colonna. (See "The Second Messiah" p 121)
