King James VII of Scotland

King James VII of Scotland was also King James II of England

Succeeded his brother King Charles the II of England in 1685.

He attempted to force the Scots and the English to convert to the Roman Catholic faith.  This caused outrage in England.

He died in France. (See "The Second Messiah" p 53)
