It is said that Joseph of Arimathea kept the sacred cup used by Jesus Christ at the Last Supper and used it to collect the blood from the crucified body of Jesus Christ.
Some believe that this cup was and is the Holy Grail.
(See "The Second Messiah" p 102)
Near the end of his life around 1140 a monk and historian named William of Malmesbury claimed that Joseph of Arimathea came to Glastonbury in 73 AD with the Holy Grail and a Holy Thorn tree which he planted. (See "The Second Messiah" p 108)
