Joseph

Considered by Christians to have been the husband of Mary, The Mother of God, but not the biological father of Jesus Christ due to the Christian belief that Mary was impregnated by an action of God, or perhaps by one of his underlings called Angels or Archangels.  Who knows?

The Catholic Church goes so far as to claim that Joseph and Mary could never have engaged in Sexual Intercourse.  They seem to think that Mary was a perpetual virgin, which would not have been a lot of fun for Joseph, if it is true.  The poor man may never have had sex with his wife if the Catholic Church is correct.  Bummer of a day, Hal!

This idea that Mary and Joseph never had sex seems unlikely since the Holy Bible tells us that Jesus had at least one brother called James the Just.  At least to Catholics the perpetual Virginity of Mary must be true since the Catholic Church considers the Pope to be Infallible and the Pope has declared the Perpetual Virginity of Mary.  Some other Christians do not believe this and really do not care what the Pope says.  Of course one must remember that the Pope once considered Galileo to be wrong when Galileo said that the earth rotated around the Sun instead of the Sun rotating around the Earth.  You must try to remember that the Pope can never be wrong with regard to the official teachings of the Catholic Church.  Perhaps the Earth is still flat and the Sun really does revolve around the Earth.
