Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ, if He actually existed, would have been a Jew, not a Christian.
Jesus Christ is considered by Christians to be the savior who was born of the Virgin Mary, crucified for the sins of mankind, raised from the dead and then ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of God. However Jesus Christ is considered by Christians to be the same as God. This is seen as confusing to many. How or why would one sit at the right hand of one's self?
Some other Religions consider Jesus Christ to have been a great man who was an important Teacher and prophet, but not God. Of course many Christians consider followers of these Religions to be heathens or Pagans who will be going to Hell because they do not consider Jesus Christ to be God or the Son of God.
Jesus Christ is considered to be part of the Trinity of the Christian Religion. He is considered, by Christians, to be the Son of God. About 1/3 of the population of world is considered Christian.
He is said to have been born of the Virgin Mary perhaps about 4 BC or perhaps a few years earlier.
Jesus Christ was the result of one of the many virgin births throughout history who became as a god. Mary , the mother of Jesus Christ, is just one of the many young women who are said to have given a virgin birth to a god or God. The story of his birth and death are almost word for word the same as that of the birth and death of Mithra, however Mithra was born about 600 years before Jesus Christ. This fact is said to have caused some concern for the early Christian Religion, which at that time was just a Cult, with few followers.
The name Jesus seems to be simply a Greek interpretation of the Hebrew name Yehoshua which was probably the name Jesus Christ was known by.
Jesus Christ was determined to be God, or at least the same as God, by a vote that took place at the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD. Up until that time he was not usually considered to be God, the Son of God, or the Holy Spirit. He was considered to have been an important prophet. What would have happened if more had voted the other way? Great question! Would we now have bumper signs saying "Mithra Loves You" pasted on our cars?
Most of the history of Jesus Christ that we, the common people, know about, is the 'official', 'sanitized', 'censored' and 'approved' version that was released by the leaders of the Roman Catholic Church. It may be correct or it may not be correct. One should remember that from a few hundred years after the birth of Jesus Christ until about the time of the founding of the United States of America the Roman Catholic Church was the most powerful entity in Western Civilization. Whatever the Roman Catholic Church deemed true was pretty much accepted as being the truth. Disagreeing with the Roman Catholic Church was very bad of one's health and life. Dissenters were often placed in prison or burned at the stake. These punishments helped consolidate the power of the Roman Catholic Church for many centuries.
Jesus is also known as Jesus Christ, Jesus of Nazareth and as the King of the Jews.
Jesus is often called the 'light of the world' which makes a lot of sense if one assumes that Jesus Christ is a Christian name used to indicate the Sun. (See MPD_0030)
It is said by many that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene and had a child or children with her. This bit of information, if it is true, is said to be part of the secret knowledge known to the Knights Templar. (See "The Templar Pirates" page 2)
Jesus is said to have been one of the Guardians of the Great Secret. (See "The Templar Pirates" page 35)
Jesus was nailed to a cross and crucified because he inculcated doctrines that were considered novel and/or obnoxious to the old religions of his Jewish countrymen. Socrates was also killed because of his religious teachings. (See "The History of Freemasonry" by Mackey page 176) Many others have been killed because of their religious beliefs.
He is also said to have been named Yehoshua Ben Joseph. (See "The Hiram Key" by Knight & Lomas in the acknowledgements pages)
The Freemasons probably would have allowed Jesus Christ to join a Lodge based upon his religious beliefs. He would not have been permitted to talk about them during a Lodge meeting but as long as he believed in a Supreme Being, he could have become a Mason. He was a carpenter, therefore a builder, so perhaps he was a Mason. Who can ever know? Perhaps he would have been rejected for violence he preached.
According to "The Sophia of Jesus Christ" Jesus Christ met with his 12 disciples and 7 women on a mountain called Divination and Joy in Galilee after he rose from the dead.
It is claimed in the Holy Bible that Jesus Christ was a Carpenter. Perhaps so, but as near as I can tell most homes and other buildings were built of stone since trees were not real common in Israel. It might have been more logical for Jesus Christ to have been a Mason if he was building houses or a temple.
