Jachin

Said to have been the right-hand pillar that stood on the porch of King Solomon's TempleJachin would be the right-hand pillar when looking at the temple from the outside while facing West.  Boaz would be the left-hand pillar when viewed from the same position.  Both these pillars were reproduced in Rosslyn Chapel. (At least I have read that this direction is correct.  I am not sure.)

It is said to have been named for the high priest who assisted at the dedication of this section of King Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem.

Jachin is said to represent "to establish", perhaps as in the establishment of the Earth.

Jachin may be representative of the pillar, called Annu, in Lower Egypt located in the City of Annu which has also been known as On and Heliopolis.

When combined with Boaz, the two pillars together are said to indicate 'stability'.

Both Boaz and Jachin are said to have been made by Hiram Abif, at least in the Masonic Legend of the Temple.  Of course Hiram Abif is not mentioned by name in the Holy Bible.  However, just because it is not mentioned in the Holy Bible does not make it false.  The Holy Bible has probably been rewritten many times to agree with some Church's agenda.  It should not be considered as the true Word of God since man has translated the Holy Bible many times to agree with that mans' beliefs.

Jachin is said to represent the establishment of the world.
