Israel and America, Relations Between

When Israel became a country the United States of America was the first country to recognize Israel as a new country.

America, for some reason, has supported Israel since Israel was founded in the 1940s.

The relationship is very one sided.  America gives money and military aid to Israel and Israel gives nothing but grief to America.  Very bad economics for America.  I do not understand why Americans allow our elected officials to steal our hard earned dollars in the form of excess taxation so that these elected officials can give the money they took from the American taxpayer to Israel so that the people of Israel do not have to work so hard for their money.

We have a give and take relationship with Israel in that America gives and Israel takes, never the other way around.

Many American think the we should help Israel since the Jews are considered to be God's Chosen People, at least according to the Holy Bible, much of which seems to have come from Jewish writers.  I wonder what God 'Chose' them for, and why, if in fact this assumption has any truth at all.

Israel seems to be largely a welfare state supported by the American taxpayer and it will perhaps fail and go bankrupt without the support of the American people.  We cannot afford, and should not to support other countries, including Israel.  They should support themselves.

Many in America consider Israel to be friendly to America.  However, Israel has shown that it will take advantage of American goodwill anytime it can.  Israel deliberately attacked the USS "Liberty" on 08 Jun 1967 killing 34 American Sailors.  Who needs an enemy when you have Israel as a so-called friend.

Most American politicians will never say anything that Israel or the American Jews may object to since they would then be labeled as Anti-Semitic and soon out of office, or simply terminated in some way that may appear to be accidental.

Criticizing Israel in any way is a sure method of being removed from office, or perhaps killed.

By writing this I will probably never be able to get elected to any public office.

I, for one, am tired of our Government stealing my money to give to Israel or to any other country.  If I should choose to donate my hard-earned cast to Israel, or some other country, I can always send them a check as a donation, just like I do when I decide to donate to the Boy Scouts of America, Ducks Unlimited, and the National Rifle Association.  We Americans should not be forced to give our money to Israel.  Since Israel is a Jewish nation all Americans, at least those who pay taxes, are forced to support a Religion that most Americans do not follow.  Supporting a state religion is unconstitutional and should be stopped.  If the people of Israel are really God's chosen people then God will take care of them without the money stolen from the American taxpayer.
