Ishtar

The Virgin who gave birth to Adonis, who became a Babylonian god.

Throughout History, Ishtar is just one of the many Virgins Who Gave Birth to God, like Mary the Mother of Jesus.  It seems that most Religions consider their God to have been born of a Virgin, just like Christianity.  Perhaps Christianity simply copied this idea to make the new cult of Christianity more acceptable to more people in an attempt to expand its market share in Religious beliefs which would result in Christianity gaining more power and money.
