Is America a Christian Nation?

America is not officially a Christian Nation and, in my opinion, hopefully will never become a Christian Nation.

Christianity, like other Expansionist Religions, does not seem to want people to have Freedom of Religion.  Christianity wants all people to worship as Christians, since Christianity is an Expansionist Religion.  Both Christianity and Islam are not in favor of people having Freedom of Religion, and never have been in favor of the people having any real Freedom of Religion.  Christians want everyone to be Christian and Muslims want everyone to be Muslim.

We should thank the Supreme Being that America is not a Christian Nation along with thanking the Supreme Being that we have the freedom to worship in America as we choose.  If we were a Christian nation you would have no freedom of religion.  You would have about the same amount of Freedom of Religion that the Christians extended to the Native Americans which meant that if you were not a Christian then you deserved to die as soon as a Christian could kill you.  Many American Indians were murdered because they were considered heathens and therefore deserved to die according to the early Christians living in America.

America was established so that it would not support or object to any religion.  Fortunately many, if not most, of our founding forefathers were probably Deists and Freethinkers and not Christians or Muslims so they gave us the right to worship as we desire instead of forcing us to follow Christianity or Islam.

It is unfortunate that Religions and Churches are not taxed in America thus forcing everyone, including atheists, to pay extra taxes to pay for the services that religions receive for free.  This should be changed, but probably will not be changed. Since religions are granted tax-exempt status the United States does not, in reality, practice the often claimed Separation of Church and State.

Not seeming to favor any one religion has been probably the main reason that America became such a great country.  Let's keep it that way.

America encouraged Freethinking, at least after the Constitution was being composed and adopted.

Some of the early States in America were Christian and forced the people to follow Christianity.  If they did not believe 'correctly' these heathens were often killed.  The pagan American Indians suffered greatly for not believing as the Christians believed.

If you have a desire to live in a country that favors one religion over another I suggest you give up your American citizenship and move to whatever country favors your religion.  We do not need or want you in America.  Please leave on the next airplane or ship so that you can enjoy the freedoms offered in a country with a state religion.

In European Christian Countries in the past the Inquisition was often used to keep that Country Christian, or Catholic.  I do not think we want that here in America.
