Huguenots

This is said to have been a contemptuous French Catholic term for the Protestants living in the South of France.

Their area, the south of France, was the center of Cathar traditions and is said to be the hiding place of the Holy Grail, and of the Merovingian lineage that is said to continue after having descended from the marriage of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene in the form of their daughter Sarah. (See "The Templar Pirates" page 57)

The Huguenot buccaneers founded the Brotherhood of the Coast in Tortuga. (See "The Templar Pirates" page 58)

A group of French Huguenots were massacred in Florida in 1565 by Roman Catholic Church Spanish Soldiers who killed all those who were not members of the Catholic Church.  (See MPD_0015 "The First Battle for Religious Freedom")  Another great showing of Religious tolerance of those who do not believe exactly as you believe.  Kill them all and let God sort them out!
