Glorious Orb

A term of endearment for the Sun.

The Sun is that Glorious Orb that opens and rules the day.

Glorious Orb is the term used by Freemasonry to indicate the Sun. 

During part of the eight year cycle of Venus, Lucifer rises in the East shortly before the Sun rises in the East.  During other parts of the eight year cycle of Venus, Vesper sets in the West shortly after the Glorious Orb we call the Sun.
