Gettysburg, Pennsylvania 

The site of the worst battle of the American Civil War.

It is reported that right after the battle a Lodge meeting was held that included both victorious Yankees and defeated Rebels who met in harmony. (See "Who's Afraid of Freemasons?" by Piatigorsky page 178)

It was at Gettysburg that Abraham Lincoln gave his Gettysburg Address on 19 November 1863.
