Freemasonry and Christianity

Freemasonry is not a religion so it is, therefore, also not a Christian religious organization.  Many Freemasons are Christians and many are not.  In America the majority of Freemasons are also members of a Christian Church.

Freemasonry does not favor any one religion over another.  We do not care what your religion is as long as you state a belief in the one and only Supreme Being.

Many of those who oppose Freemasonry oppose it because they consider Freemasonry to not be a Christian Organization.  They are correct in the fact that Freemasonry is not, never has been, and never will be, a Christian Organization, however neither are many other good and useful organizations.

Freemasons in America normally use the Holy Bible as the Volume of the Sacred Law in most, if not all, American Lodges.  When a person who is not a member of a Christian Church joins a Lodge the VSL of his Religion will be used during his Initiation into Freemasonry.
