Freedom of Religion 

The freedom to worship as you see fit is a relatively new concept.  Up until the founding of the United States of America most people were not permitted to worship as they desired.  In most countries one had to worship in the manner approved by the main Religion in that country.  Those who did not worship properly were punished by the ruling Church of that country, often by being tortured or Burned at the Stake.  Other barbaric methods were also employed by these so-called Holy People.

We in the US of A are fortunate that some of our founding fathers were Deists and therefore not very fond of organized Religions.  They and/or their ancestors had suffered greatly under organized Religions, especially Expansionist Religions, in Europe, and therefore they wanted no part of it in the New World.  That being said however, we must realize that this Freedom of Religion was not granted to the American Indians, who were considered by the conquering Christians as heathens or Pagans and therefore were considered a lower form of life that needed to be eliminated.  Our Government even prohibited some of the American Indian worship ceremonies.  Therefore Freedom of Religion does not really exist in America.

Many, if not most, of our founding fathers were Deists instead of being Christians, Jews or Muslims.  We should thank the Supreme Being for this fact.

To eliminate Freedom of Religion all one must do is to allow One Expansionist Religions to dominate your country.  Pray to the Supreme Being that this never happens at least in America.  We need to continue our separation of Church and State.  Some of the other countries on the planet are beyond help.

We as Freemasons support true Freedom of Religion.  We do however discriminate against those who do not believe in a Supreme Being by denying membership to them.  We do not preach any Religion or support any Religion.  Your religious beliefs are your own and we do not care what they are as long as you express a belief in the Supreme Being.  Nor will we kill you because you call the Supreme Being by a name different name.  We do not even need to kill Pagans or athiests.
