Faith

Faith often means a belief especially in a Revealed Religion.

Faith can mean a system of religious doctrines that are believed in, and followed, by some people.

Faith can mean trust or reliance upon something, or loyalty or pledged word.

Faith is also a fairly common first name for a woman, at least in the USA.

Example: "I have Faith that this old car will get me to town."  This Faith is based upon the fact that the last few thousand times I went to town the car got me there.  There is good reason to believe, or have Faith, in the probability that it will get me to town again.

There is no logical reason why anyone should have Faith that a belief in their religion will 'save' them and get them to Heaven since there is no prior known events that even suggest that this theoretically desired event will ever take place.  To the best of my knowledge no person who has died, and gone or not gone anywhere, has ever returned to tell anyone about it.  This belief is based upon Faith and not on reason.

Having Faith seems to helpful for many people.  Having Faith in something is usually not a bad thing.
