Examining Committee for Admission as a Visitor
When a man who is unknown to all members of a Lodge wishes to visit with that Lodge he must prove to the members of that Lodge that he is in fact a Mason. This proof is determined by what is known as the Examination of a Visitor.
The Examination of a Visitor will be dome by an Examining Committee, which consists of Three Master Masons, all appointed by the Worshipful Master. As soon as the Worshipful Master is made aware of the fact that an unknown man wishes to visit his Lodge the Worshipful Master will select three Masons to conduct the Examination of a Visitor.
The Examining Committee should get both the "List of Lodges" and the "Book of Edicts" from the Secretary before doing the Examination of a Visitor in the Examining Room. A copy of the Holy Bible is also needed for the Examination of a Visitor.
