Evergreen

An evergreen is a bush, shrub or tree that never drops all of its leaves at the same time of the year.  It always looks green.

Acacia is considered to be an evergreen.

Holly is also a form of evergreen.

During the Christmas season evergreens are often brought indoors and decorated by both Christians and Pagans.  Paganism and Christianity are very similar at least with respect to Christmas and the winter solstice and other holidays.  One worships the Sun and the other the Son.
