Eve and the Serpent

If we are to believe the Holy Bible tale of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden we know that Eve was talked into eating a forbidden apple by a Serpent.

This is rather weird.  Why would Eve have been talking with a Serpent?  Did they uses to talk?  If a Snake or Serpent starts talking to me about eating an apple, or it I even think that it's talking to me at all, I will wonder if I am ill, drunk, or ready to be put in the nuthouse.  Or I will simply chop the head off the Snake and go on with my life as before.  Eve must have been bored, drunk, or stoned to have communicated with a serpent about eating a apple!  What a ridiculous idea that perhaps should be simply considered tale told by some priest for some unknown reason.  Perhaps it was written that way to help justify the fact that the Holy Bible considers the Worth of a Woman to be about half the Worth of a Man.

Could it be that Eve was talking to one of the so-called Sons of God instead of to a Snake of Serpent?
