Equality of Men and Women

Each of the sexes should be considered of equal value and usefulness. One cannot exist without the other.  Men and women do not behave in exactly the same way but each sex needs the other.

Revealed Religions, like Christianity and Islam, consider the Worth of a  Woman to be only about half of that of a man.

It seems that when the leaders of the Catholic Church met to determine what books should be in the Holy Bible they chose to not include any Gospel or writings that considered man and women to be equally valuable.  The excuse used was that these writings were Gnostic in nature and therefore not fit for inclusion in the Holy Bible. (See "the Second Messiah" p 91) [These non included books were most likely destroyed, perhaps along with any reference to them and their authors would probably have been eliminated if they were still alive at the time.  Another case involving the Destruction of Knowledge by Religion.]

The Catholic Church to this day will not allow a woman to be a priest.  Some Protestant Churches do permit women to be preachers.
