Demiurge
Gnosticism considered the Demiurge as an imperfect offspring created solely by Sophia.
Gnostics considered the Demiurge to be the Christian God, or creator based upon the statement "I am God, and there is no one besides me."
This did not sit well with the Roman Catholic Church which tried to exterminate Gnosticism and its writings and almost succeeded until many writings were discovered in 1945 at Nag Hammadi.
The Gnostics considered the Demiurge to actually represent the Devil himself.
