Deist

The plural of Deist is Deists.

A Deist is one who practices Deism.

Thomas Jefferson is said to have been a Deist as he certainly was too much of a Freethinker to ever have been a Christian or a Muslim.

Many of the Founding Fathers of America were Deists instead of being, as often suggested, Christians.  Most of them wanted nothing more to do with Christianity as they, or their ancestors had suffered greatly under the rule of the Christian in Europe before they came to America.
