William de Nogaret

Was one of the Chief Officer of State who helped King Philip the Fair rule France during the time from 1303 until 1313.

William de Nogaret had no love for the Catholic Church since both his parents had been Burned at the Stake as heretics by the Catholic Church during the Albigensian Crusade.
