Crucifixion of Jesus Christ
The Crucifixion of Jesus Christ is one of the main points of Christianity. Christians believe that Jesus Christ was nailed to a cross, died, then was buried, then raised from the dead to go into Heaven to sit at the right hand of God.
This concept is rather hard to grasp since it is so illogical as to make no sense at all. No proof exists for this event. Since Christianity considers God and Jesus to be the same then this would mean that God decided to commit suicide by irritating some humans (Jews) enough that they would nail him to a cross so that he might die for the sin of Eve having eaten a piece of fruit in the Garden of Eden. Talk about some weird tale. If anyone used an explanation remotely resembling this for the killing of something they would be considered insane and put away in the funny farm for a long time if they were not just executed. This illogical idea can only make sense to people who have been brainwashed by having it told to them so many times that they believe it.
It makes no sense for an All-Powerful Supreme Being to be killed in a horrible manner for the salvation of one of the species that was created by the Supreme Being.
Perhaps it is true but the concept would certainly not hold up in most Courts of Law.
Since crucifixion seems to have been a common punishment in early times a man named Jesus very well could have been killed via crucifixion. If the Supreme Being really felt like being killed in this manner the Supreme Being could have had it done. Why the Supreme Being would cause this to happen is not real well explained and is certainly not very logical.
Perhaps the Supreme Being decided to visit Earth, engage in sex with a nice Virgin, be born a male, live for about 33 revolutions of the Earth around the Sun, agitate the Jewish leaders to the point that they wanted to kill him, allow them to capture him, then make him carry a large cross made of two boards at right angles to each other, let them nail him to this wooden structure, then let them drop it in a hole and allow him to die on this wooden structure. After this awful treatment the Supreme Being decided to be dead for what is called 3 days, but seems actually to have been only about a total of a one and a half rotations of the Earth on its axis, then come alive again and greet a woman who may have been his wife, or girlfriend, on Earth, then allow himself to again been taken up into the sky. With an all powerful Supreme Being all is possible, but why do it? No juror would ever believe it but most followers of Christianity do believe this concept.
