Committee of Inquiries 

This is the committee appointed by the Worshipful Master of a Lodge to inquire into the fitness of a Candidate to be made a Mason.

The appointed members of the Committee of Inquiries must be members of that Lodge and they must all be Master Masons, at least in Pennsylvania.

Also in Pennsylvania the names of the members of the committee must be printed in the Lodge Notice along with the full name of the Candidate.

This Committee of Inquiries is often called the Investigating Committee.
