Clockwise

Clockwise, or Deosil, is the same direction that the Sun appears to move in the Northern Hemisphere.

It should come as no surprise that most non-digital clocks still turn in a Clockwise direction.

The shadow on a Sundial rotates in a Clockwise direction in the Northern Hemisphere.

In the past it was considered correct to walk around a church in a Clockwise direction, not Counter-clockwise or Widdershins as Clockwise is the proper direction the Sun appears to move in the Northern Hemisphere.  Since this is based upon the movement of the Sun, this may be something else that the Christians adopted from the Sun Worshipers.

It is also considered to be a turn to the right.

To tighten a right-hand nut or bolt turn it in a Clockwise direction.
