Christianity and Slavery

Christianity approved of, and encouraged, Slavery for probably at least the first 1800 years of its existence.

The Holy Bible, both the New Testament and the Old Testament, approved of Slavery and so did Christianity.  Slavery then still seems to be acceptable to Christianity since the main book used to guide Christianity is the Holy Bible., even though Slavery has been outlawed in most countries.
