Christianity
Christianity is a relatively new Religion in that it is not yet even 2000 years old. Christianity could not have existed until at least about the year 30 AD.
At one time Christianity was outlawed and it still is in some countries. When Christians rose to power they outlawed other religions in any location that they were powerful enough to so do.
Christianity is a Revealed Religion based on the belief that Jesus Christ was and is the Son of God who was born of the Virgin Mary, died by Crucifixion on a Cross, was raised from the dead and ascended into Heaven to be God or at least the same as God. Christianity is one of the major Religions on Earth with about 1/3 of the world following Christianity, at least to some extent. About 1/2 of the 1/3 who are Christians belong to the Catholic Church, thus about one out of ever six people on Earth at least somewhat follow the Catholic Church.
The main book, or VSL, of Christianity is the Holy Bible, however many versions exist so there is no 'correct' version that is accepted by all Christians.
Christianity is an Expansionist Religion that attempts to convert all others over to Christianity by whatever means are required. Throughout the past Christianity (along with Islam and Judaism) has often forced people to convert to Christianity willingly or risk being tortured or murdered.
There are many versions of Christianity, which means that at least some of them, if not all, cannot be correct. How does one know which one, if any, is the correct version? New versions of Christianity seem to spring up all the time. New Religions are created whenever a few people disagree with their previous Religion. Religions start out as Cults, as Christianity did, and if enough people join the new Religion then it becomes a so-called legitimate Religion and is no longer considered a Cult, at least according to that now somewhat more mainstream Religion. Christianity, like most major Religions, seems to have a love affair with money. They preach that money is the root of all evil but they sure like people to donate money to their Religion.
Christianity practices Baptism, also known as Lustration, which was also practiced by Pagans.
Christianity celebrates many of the same holidays and festivals that are celebrated by those who Christians call Pagans, including Druids, Wiccans and Sun Worshipers. Much of Christianity seems to have come from these so-called heathen or Pagan Religions. Most Christian holidays are at least somewhat determined by the location of the Sun in the heavens, or in the case of Easter by the location of both the Sun and the Moon.
Christmas, or the date celebrating the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ, occurs now just after the Winter Solstice, but is said to have been on the Winter Solstice at the time of the birth of Jesus Christ. Thus the birth of the Son of God was celebrated on the the same day the the Sun was reborn each year when it again started to rise earlier and earlier each day. This probably made it easier to 'convert' people to Christianity if they could still have their celebrations on the same days as their previous Religion.
Like all Revealed Religions there is no reasonable evidence that any part of Christianity has any chance of being true. It is simply based upon faith and the fear that one is doomed if one does not believe the way they are taught by the leaders of the church. One may also be considered doomed if one does not contribute lots of cash to the leaders of the church so that these leaders do not have to work very hard to survive.
Contrary to popular belief the United States of America was not founded as a Christian nation. Our founding fathers had had enough religious persecution before coming to America so they did not want Christianity, or any other religion, to rule America. Fortunately for us many of them were Deists instead of Christians.
The early Christians in America considered the American Indians to be Pagans and thus in need of extermination which the Christians proceeded to accomplish with zeal.
