Caput Mortuum 

This was the term used by the Alchemists to indicate the skull or the worthless residue of death.

Actually the death of one organism simplly provides food for another so the the process of life and death can continue.  Even the people who push the radical ideas of PETA will be consumed by the creatures they think need protected.

Remember: The ultimate goal of all life is death!  

Each and every one of us will eventually become food for something else, even if we are embalmed and buried in a structure like the Great Pyramid.  Sooner or later the other life will eat us.  Cremation allows it to happen quickly as we go up the chimney so that humans and other forms of life can inhale us immediately to provide nourishment for their still living bodies.

When buried we just become food for worms and other forms of life that we consider to be inferior.  they will eat us in the long run.

Enjoy life while you can!  It will soon be over.
