Beer Main Page

Beer is a wonderful drink as long as one does not drink too much at any one time.

Some beers I consider to be very tasty while others I consider to be not fit for human consumption.

I think that the more money a brewery spends on advertising, the worse its beer tastes.  Some of the major beer makers produce some real awful tasting beer, but they sure do sell a lot of it.  Breweries that make great beer do not need to advertise very much, if any.  Up until a few years ago not very much good tasting beer was made in America.  This has changed with the creation of a lot of the little micro-breweries.

Most English, German and Irish beers, and many beers from the micro-breweries, are very tasty.

Up until Prohibition the Freemasons seem to have either met in ale houses, bars, or taverns or at least served beer during or after their meetings.  Now, at least in Pennsylvania Alcohol is forbidden at most, if not all, Masonic events.

I, the author of this website, have brewed a bit of beer.  People who tried my beer either thought that it was wonderful or awful.  The beer that I brew is usually a dark beer.  Those who drink light beers, or think that the mass produced beer is great, will not like my beer so I always ask what kind of beer they like before offering them one of my home-made ones.  A person who likes Bud Lite or Coor's Lite most likely will not like my beer so there is no use wasting any good beer on a person like that.
