Arrest of Jews in France in 1306

On 21 June 1306 all the Jews in France were arrested on orders from King Philip IV of France. All their property was confiscated. Their arrest eliminated a group of people that King Philip IV of France owed money to, so by arresting them, King Philip IV of France reduced his debt. He still owed a lot of money to the Lombards and the Knights Templar. (See "Cracking the Freemasons Code" by Cooper page 4)
