Ark of the Covenant
The Ark of the Covenant is said to have been a portable shrine to hold the ten commandments that are said to have been given to Moses by God. The Ark of the Covenant is said to have been made of Shittim Wood, 4 feet by 2 feet by 2 feet.
The Ark of the Covenant is said to have contained three things. They were the two stone tablets that God is said to have given to Moses bearing the Ten Commandments, and Yahweh himself. The Ark of the Covenant was the home of Yahweh. (See "The Hiram Key" page 24) It seems odd to keep God stuffed in a box even if the box was made of Gold.
I have read in various sources that the Freemasons have the Ark of the Covenant stashed away somewhere, perhaps in Rosslyn Chapel. (I would be more inclined to believe that, if it exists or existed, it is stored in some government warehouse where it was misfiled, perhaps labeled as Box, Yellow, Origin Unknown.)
Its current location, as well as its existence, is unknown, at least to most people. Who knows! Perhaps it never even existed.
The Gold that is said to have covered the Ark of the Covenant has probably been melted down for coins or for crowns on teeth, or perhaps for electroplating computer parts.
On 28 August 2009 I watched a 2 hour show on the History International Channel in which a British Professor claimed to have located a replica of the original. It was a heavy large wooden drum like object that was radiocarbon dated to about 600 years ago. His explanation made quite a bit of sense.
I have also read that the Ark of the Covenant contained a sample of manna, which is said by some to perhaps have been the Philosophers Stone of Alchemy.
