Alchemy

Alchemy is commonly thought to have been the study of converting Base Metals into Gold.

Those who practice alchemy are called Alchemists.

Alchemy is also considered by some to have been an attempt to start with an uninformed and/or uneducated person and turn that person into a good knowledgeable and moral person.  In this respect Masons can be considered to be Alchemists.

It seems that many early Masons were involved in the study of Alchemy, at least in the idea of making good men better.

In the same or similar concept, the term 'Raised from the Dead' seems to indicate the taking of a normal person and raising them to a level that is considered to be higher. Turning 'Water into Wine' may indicate the same thing. Therefore one must ask if Jesus Christ was an Alchemist.
