Dave Thomas

Dave Thomas was born in 1932.

Founder of Wendy's Restaurants.  He established the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption in 1992.  The foundation serves as an active voice for more than 100,000 children in the public child welfare system who are waiting for homes and families.  An adopted child himself, he never knew his parents.  He started working in restaurants at the age of 12.  At eh age of 35, he successfully turned around four Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants and sold them.  Thomas started Wendy's soon thereafter and there are 5,000 restaurants in the USA and 34 other countries.  Thomas was raised to a Master Mason in Sol. D. Bayless Lodge No. 359 of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and became a 32nd degree Mason in 1961.  He later affiliated with the Scottish Rite Bodies of Miami, Florida, and received the 33rd Degree in 1995.
