Order of the Knights of the Red Cross of Babylon

Said to be a side degree of Freemasonry that is also known as the Order of the Babylonish Pass.  It is said to deal with the relationship between Wine, Kings, Women and Truth.  It is said to relate to the Royal Arch Degree of Freemasonry. This degree is said to be based upon the Book of Esdras and events that happened during the time of captivity in Babylon.  According to Masonic Legend Zerubbabel, Prince of Judea, asked at the Palace of Babylon for permission to rebuild the Temple of the Most High in Jerusalem. He had to answer a question concerning the Strengths of Wine, Kings and Women. See "The Second Messiah" page 34.
