Dr. Joseph Fort Newton 

Was a clergyman and Masonic Author who lived from 1880 until 1950.

He was raised in Friendship Lodge No 7, Dixon, Illinois.

He also later belonged to Mt. Hermon Lodge No 263 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

He wrote many Masonic books and is considered by many to have been one of Freemasonry's greatest philosophers.
