MESSAGE FOR THE NEW MASONIC YEAR

Brethren: 

The beginning of the new Masonic Year is a very busy time for both you and for me.  I will be visiting the Lodges according to the schedule under "Dates" on this site.  There are a number of activities that you will also need to complete.  The following bulleted list includes some of your more important responsibilities to the Grand Lodge and the DDGM.  While he won't complete all tasks, each of the tasks is the responsibility of the Master to have completed.

• Submit Annual Return and pay Grand Lodge Dues on time.

• See that the Maintenance of Membership Committee is working as diligently as possible in collecting dues.

• See that the Trustee Report is approved at the February Stated Meeting and is sent to the Grand Lodge and the DDGM by February 28.

• See that the Audit Report is approved at the March Stated Meeting and posted to the Grand Lodge site by March 31.

• See that his Lodge is represented at the School of Instruction by at least the Chairman of Instruction and see that his Lodge fulfills it's responsibility to the School.

• See that the Lodge Self-evaluation Form is completed in preparation for the Official Visit of the DDGM.

My Goals for the 2010 Masonic Year are:

• Continue to promote membership and programs that retain and foster membership.

• Continue to promote the improvement in the ritualistic work of the Lodges including participation in School of Instruction.

• Encourage the effective mentoring of all new members.
