The District 20 Traveling Gavel
The District 20 Traveling Gavel began it's journey at
Mountain Lodge, No. 281, September 19, 2006. For a lodge to "capture" the
gavel, at least five of its members must be present at a stated meeting of the
lodge possessing the gavel. The new lodge retains the Gavel until another
lodge captures it. The tie breaker for multiple lodges with equal number
of visitors is the favor to the oldest lodge. The objective of the
Traveling Gavel is to foster fellowship among the Lodges of District 20.
The Gavel currently resides at Portage Lodge.
