Glutaric Acidemia
(GA1) is a rare genetic disease afflicting children.
Symptoms usually present themselves between 6 - 18 months of age.
The disease causes loss of head control, suck and swallow reflex, ability to sit, stand, or grasp toys.
The child may also have acute loss of motor skills and dystonia after a seizure.
If left untreated, children often die before the age of ten.

Michael Metil
who suffers from Glutaric Acidemia.
Dinner was be held at the Masonic Lodge
201 S. Main St., Jersey Shore.
Proceeds totaling $1875.00 went to benefit the Metil Family.
