                 Message From The East                        

Dear Brethren;



I hope everyone had a safe and fun filled summer break with their family and friends while still having time to relax and enjoy the summer. Lodge will reconvene in September to continue our diligent work to help our fellow brethren and community. Additionally our 8th annual charity raffle is in full swing! I encourage all members who do not have tickets to please contact myself or Chuck Grimm to obtain tickets for the raffle.

            There will be an upcoming benefit for Brother Ben Beynon who is battling cancer. This benefit will be held on Sunday September 14th at Kennedy’s Grove Waymart   the dinner will be at 2pm and tickets will be $20, there will also be a motorcycle poker run the same day, registration will be at 10:30am and the run starts at 11:30am. The poker run is $5 per person.  There will be 50/50’s, basket raffles and chances for wheel barrows of cheer, all donations are welcome.

            Finally, there will be a bus trip to Elizabethtown on Saturday September 20th for the Lighting of the Eternal flame.  Reservations for the bus are $25 and can be made with Bill Vargas at (570) 604-1815 there are only 45 seats available so please make your reservations promptly to ensure your seat on the bus.

                  Brethren, Take Notice!!!

  Waymart Masonic Lodge will be running a bus to Elizabethtown in September for the Grand Master's Day and the Eternal Torch lighting in it's memorial grove. We will be looking to fill all 47 available seats to take a busload of our Brother's, Sister's and Rainbow connection to enjoy the day.

Reservations for the bus are $25 and can be made with Bill Vargas at (570) 604-1815 there are only 45 seats available so please make your reservations promptly to ensure your seat on the bus.

The bus to Elizabethtown costs $25.00 p/p and that we still need riders to
break even with the cost to charter the bus....money is due now.

Next Rainbow meeting will be  at the Waymart Lodge.

Waymart Rainbow assembly #189 meets on the first and third Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Lodge Hall. All girls between the age of 11 and 21 are welcome to attend. Any Questions call Joe Johannes at 470-3103
